Just this past week, our economy got some more bad news. The national unemployment rate currently stands at 9.8 percent -- Today more than 15 million Americans are out of work.

Myth: Stimulus worked and stimulus money created 3 million jobs.
Truth: Recovery.gov counted and the amount of jobs stimulus created was 680,000. These are also public sector jobs, not private sector. Which means no growth to GDP. No money back in the economy. Also, 3.1 million jobs shed by U.S. businesses under the Obama administration.
Myth: Obama has made progress on employment
Reality: Under President Obama so far, the unemployment rate reached record highs (Nevada) and continues to grow. Specifically, Unemployment hit 9.5 percent for 14 months in a row, the longest time of unemployment since the Great Depression of the 1930s. George Bush had the unemployment at only 4.4% when he left office.
